FAQ's

Q: Are there changing facilities (what do they include?)
A: Our beautiful changing rooms and shower facilities sit in the basement, in the former bank vault. Complete with vanity stations with hollywood mirrors, Cloud 9 hair dryers and straighteners, lockers, Faith In Nature shower products, and Ubiety hand wash and moisturiser.

Due to COVID restrictions, we are asking that members arrive in the gym already changed, and that they only shower when absolutely necessary. We have a maximum capacity in the changing rooms and ask that you respect this, and be patient, if you need to use the facilities.

Q: Do members bring their own towels?
A: Due to COVID restrictions we are not providing towels. This will stand until government guidance changes.

Q: Where are the nearest car parks?

A: Kingsmead Square is the closest car park, but it is also the smallest, so it does get busy at peak times. Southgate and Manvers Street are also a short walk away. We also encourage members to use the Park&Ride as cheaper alternative - all you have to pay is the bus ticket!

Q: Are members shown how to use the equipment?
A: Yes, every new member has access to a free and voluntary welcome session. If you would like to book a welcome session prior to your first visit then please call or email us and we will happily arrange this for you.

Q: What happens if they have lost property in the gym?

A: Although we cannot accept any liability for lost items, we do have a lost property box at reception. If you lose an item please contact the club as soon as possible and we will do our best to locate it.

Q: Can I freeze my membership?

A: Yes. Full details, terms and conditions are outlined in your membership contract.

Q: Does the gym have wifi?

A: Yes.

Q: What is the process/penalty for cancelling classes?

A: If you are unable to make a booked class, we ask that you cancel at least four hours in advance of the class start time to avoid receiving a £3 charge onto you account. Our classes are working at reduced capacity due to COVID restrictions, and so this does mean that there are waiting lists on classes. If you know you are not going to make it please give somebody else the chance to come along. The £3 will go towards the prosecco on our FLY High Fridays once they resume.

Q: Is there a minimum age to join?

A: Members must be at least 16 years old at the time of which the membership begins.

Q: Gym staffing policy
A: There will be a member of staff on-site at all times to assist with any questions or issues.

Q: Can I try before I buy?

A: Yes, we offer a week trial for only £25. This includes full access to the gym and classes. Click here to take advantage of this offer.

Q: Do you offer any corporate discounts?
A: Yes, please contact us on hello@flyfitness.co.uk if you would like to discuss this with a member of our management team.

Q: How do I pay?

A: When you take out a membership with FLY Fitness, you will be asked to complete a direct debit mandate. The payment will be taken automatically on (1st of the month) the same day each month. The first months' payment will be taken on the day of signing up on a pro-rata basis.

Q: Does the gym accommodate disabled / wheelchair users?

A: Unfortunately, due to the fact that the building is Grade 1 listed, we were unable to do the necessary alterations to widen corridors or insert a lift. This means that wheelchair access is only available on the ground floor.

Q: How can I log a complaint?
A: Please contact hello@flyfitness.co.uk. We will issue a complaint form to be completed and returned. It will be reviewed by our gym manager.
