We are committed to taking appropriate measures to protect your personal data and fully comply with Data Protection Legislation. However, information submitted to us over this website is unprotected until it reaches us. Accordingly, you agree that any information submitted to us is submitted at your own risk. Additionally, you agree that once received, your registration data and certain other information will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your agreement is with us, FLY Fitness Ltd, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 10956764). These terms and conditions form part of your agreement with us, and replace any previous terms and conditions.

You must comply with and agree to the rules and regulations that apply to FLY Fitness Ltd whenever using our gym facilities.

These terms and conditions must be complied with alongside the FLY Code of Conduct.

FLY Fitness Membership Types

The Annual Membership (Single Payment)

This is a twelve month, fixed term contract. The Membership Amount is paid in one lump sum at the start of the contract. It will run for twelve consecutive calendar months from the date of initial sign up. Your membership will automatically convert to the current Monthly Membership Amount after twelve months. You are required to give one full months notice to end your membership. This notice will only be accepted once the twelve month contract is complete. The Membership Amount is non-refundable under any circumstance.

The Founding Annual, The Annual and The Student Annual (Monthly Payment)

​This is a 12 month contract which will commence on the day you complete your membership application. A pro rata amount will be taken on the first day of membership if this falls outside of the 1st of the month in question. The following monthly payments will go out on the 1st of every month. At the end of the initial 12 month period, the membership will automatically renew unless the customer lets us know they would like to cancel before the end of the first term. Once the initial 12 months has been completed the client can then cancel with one full months notice.

The Monthly and The Student Monthly

​This is a 6 month contract which will commence on the day you complete your membership application. A pro rata amount will be taken on the first day of membership if this falls outside of the 1st of the month in question. The following monthly payments will go out on the 1st of every month. At the end of the initial 6 month period, the membership will automatically renew unless the customer lets us know they would like to cancel before the end of the first term. Once the initial 6 months has been completed the client can then cancel with one full months notice.

Corporate Membership

If the company you work for has an agreement with us you will be entitled to a 10% discount on any of the memberships offered, subject to management discretion. When collecting their FLY membership cards, corporate members must bring in proof of employment to show entitlement to the corporate membership. There must be a minimum of 5 people joining from one company before any discount can be applied.

Student Memberships

Students get a 10% discount on all memberships. A valid Student ID card must be produced within 7 days of signing up. If a valid ID is not presented, the account will automatically convert to The Monthly membership amount at the current rate. Once the student status expires the account will automatically revert to the full monthly membership rate. Student memberships are currently set up as access all hours. Management reserve the right to change this at any time to peak/off peak access. Student memberships hold the same terms and conditions as our usual monthly and annual memberships.

Pay As You Go Flexi Passes

Non-Members can access the open gym and classes based on a pay as you go basis. Flexi Passes can be purchased as a singular Flexi pass, 5 Flexi passes or 10 Flexi passes. If a single Flexi pass is purchased it must be used within 7 days of purchase. If a 5 Flexi pass is purchased, the passes must be used within 6 months from the purchase date. If a 10 Flexi pass is purchased, the passes must be used within 6 months from the purchase date. FLY Fitness has the right to reserve the use of changing areas and lockers for members only. Gym members take priority during busy times. Classes must be pre-booked. If the booked class is not attended, the class pass will still be used and will not be refunded.

7 day trial

Limited to new members only. Only one can be purchased per person. This membership is only open those local to the Bath and Bristol area/or those who are considering joining FLY Fitness on a more permanent basis. Strictly not available for tourists. Tourists are able to join using The Tourist pass. Reception staff can ask for proof of address on your first visit to the gym and are able to cancel the membership if the client is deemed a visiting tourist. The 7 day trial will activate from the day of purchase. If you would like to change the start date of your trial please contact us after purchasing and we can make that change.

FLY for Less

Once the 6 week membership has expired it will automatically enrol into The Monthly membership and your next payment will be taken automatically. The Monthly membership is a 6 month membership at £95 per month. See full terms and conditions listed under the monthly membership heading.

In order to stop this payment you must give us notice by no later than the 5th week of your membership. If this is not provided, standard T&C's apply for the monthly contract. The FLY for Less membership cannot be frozen and is non refundable.


Our memberships are calculated in calendar months. The fee for the Annual Membership (one upfront payment) is due on the date of initial sign up. The fees for all Monthly Memberships are due each calendar month. Payments will be taken on the 1st working day of each month. Members who sign up part way through the month will pay the pro-rata membership rate owed for the rest of that month and automated billing will begin on the 1st of the next month.

You must provide a current, valid, accepted method of payment for use by FLY Fitness. We will automatically bill the monthly membership fee to your chosen Payment Method each calendar month until your membership is cancelled or terminated.

Recurring Billing

By signing up to a monthly membership, you authorise us to charge you a monthly fee at the current rate. Increases in the current rate will be notified with 1 month's notice. We will inform you by e-mail or other form of communication.

Membership Billing Cycle

When you sign up to a FLY membership, you will be charged for the first calendar month. The subsequent monthly fees will be billed automatically on the first working day of each month. After the initial commitment period that is set out in your membership type, your membership will automatically convert to a rolling monthly membership and the automated monthly billing will continue until the membership is terminated either by you, or by us. If you sign up part way through the month, the initial fees will be worked out on a pro-rata basis and automated billing will begin on the first day of the following month.

No Refunds

Unless expressly stated to the contrary herein, or as provided by applicable law, payments are nonrefundable and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods.

This policy applies to all products sold on the FLY Fitness website i.e. pay as you go passes, as well as memberships. However, following your cancellation of your membership you will continue to have access to FLY until the end of your paid membership period.

Payment Methods

You may edit your Payment Method information by logging into your online account and updating accordingly. Alternatively you can update your Payment Method with Reception.

If a payment is not successfully settled, due to expiration, insufficient funds, or otherwise, and you do not edit your Payment Method information, provided that you have not cancelled your account in accordance with these Terms (see Ending Membership) you remain responsible for any uncollected amounts.

Failure to Pay (£25)

If you do not pay your fee when it is due we will contact you via the contact details you provide on set up. This could be by post, telephone or email. If the account details you gave us for the direct debit are wrong we will ask you to pay by cash, debit card or credit card and to give us your correct bank details. You will be asked to complete a new direct debit mandate for the next month’s fees. If there are insufficient funds on your account we will ask you to pay by cash, debit card or credit card. If you cancel your direct debit mandate we will ask you to pay by cash, debit card or credit card and you will be asked to complete a new direct debit mandate for the next month’s fees. If at any time your account is in arrears you will not be allowed to enter or use the facility. Once payments are up to date you will be allowed entry to the FLY facilities once again. If you are still within your commitment period you will still have to pay all monthly membership fees for the duration of that period that you signed up for. We may appoint a debt collection agency to collect any payments owed to us, and you may have to pay any costs associated with this, including legal and court costs and interest. Or we may choose to make the payments owed from your credit card or debit card using the credit card or debit card details you have given us and you hereby authorise us to do so. Where a direct debit payment has failed or been refused, we may attempt to obtain payment through the same direct debit. You are responsible for any charges imposed by your bank in connection with any failed payments or attempts.

Membership Freeze

You have the option to put your automatically recurring monthly and annual memberships on hold for any reason. Membership freeze requests must be submitted no less than seven business days before your forthcoming scheduled renewal date. Membership freeze requests received later cannot be processed until after the forthcoming scheduled renewal payment. All membership payments are non-refundable. Membership freeze requests are available for up to three (3) consecutive 30-day periods (i.e. 30, 60 or 90 days). Upon expiration of the hold period that you select, your account will automatically reactivate and regular membership payments will resume. If you chose to cancel your membership during the freeze period, the standard one full month written cancellation notice requirement stated in your membership agreement is applicable and a final full month’s payment will be required before your membership can be terminated. If you choose to reactivate your membership after it is cancelled, membership rates in effect at the time of reactivation will be applicable (membership rates are subject to change). There is a £35 fee for each freeze period of up to 90 days. All freeze requests must be sent memberships@flyfitness.co.uk. The freeze fee of £35 must be paid before any freeze period starts.

COVID-19 Membership Freeze/ Cancellation Policy

Since regulations have changed in England, we do not offer a cancellation or freeze request should a member contract covid, and therefore do not accept positive PCR as evidence that a member qualifies to end their membership early. If a member becomes seriously ill, the Ending Membership Early section of this contract applies.

Ending Membership

To terminate your membership you must send written notice to memberships@flyfitness.co.uk. On receipt of your notice, we will issue a cancellation form which must be completed and returned, either via post or email, in order for the termination request to be completed and finalised. If the notice is received by the fourth day of the month, your membership will end on the last day of the same month. If your notice is received after this date, your membership will end on the last day of the following month. If you are still within your initial commitment period, your membership will terminate on the last day of this commitment period, as long as notice is given at least one month in advance to this date. If you decide to end your contract with us, we will confirm the details of the contract termination in writing within 10 days, either by post or email. This confirmation will include details of the date your membership will end. For example: if your notice is received on July 4th, your membership will terminate on July 31st. However, if your notice is received on July 5th, your membership will terminate on August 31st and your last direct debit will be collected on August 1st.

Ending Membership Early

At any time, you are entitled to end your membership ahead of the initial commitment period if any of the following apply: You are suffering from a serious illness or injury. You lose your job or are declared insolvent. You move further than 15 miles away from the gym, provided you do not already live this far away on initial sign up. You are relocated in your employment to a location that is more than 15 miles away from the gym. If any of the above circumstances applies you must give one month’s notice to end your membership. We will require proof of circumstance to support the cancellation. to end a membership early you will need to email memberships@flyfitness.co.uk with a written request to end your membership early.

Our Right to Cancel

We have the right to cancel your membership at any time without giving notice if: You seriously break the terms of your membership agreement. You allow another person to use your membership card to access the gym. You use aggressive, offensive or discriminatory language to speak to FLY Fitness staff or other members of the gym. You display violence towards any FLY Fitness staff or gym members. If we cancel your membership under any of the above terms you will not be able to re-join as a member of FLY Fitness again in the future, nor will you be allowed access to the premises.

Changes to Membership Terms

We reserve the right to change our membership pricing plans at any time. If we plan to change membership fees and this will directly affect you, we will give you notice in writing of at least one month before the changes are due to take place.

Membership Cards

We will give you a membership card. Membership cards are encrypted with your personal data and an ID photograph and will track your entry into and exit from the gym. Your membership card is personal to you and cannot be used by anybody else. You must bring this card with you every time you visit as it will grant you access to the gym. If you forget your membership card the Reception Team will be able to let you in however, this may take longer as we will need to record your entry into the gym. If you lose your membership card, you must let the Reception Team at the gym know as soon as possible so they can deactivate that card and issue you with another. There will be a £5 charge for any replacement cards required. If your membership card is found to be used by somebody other than you we are entitled to cancel your membership immediately unless you have previously notified us of that card being lost or stolen. Members benefit from a discount within The Cafe by FLY, on cafe products.


Most classes on our timetable are included within each membership package. At certain times we may offer additional classes that run as part of a course or that are on a one-off basis, these classes may incur additional fees and it is our right to advertise and charge these fees accordingly. Members will be able to book on to classes online, via our app, over the phone, or in-person at reception and will receive email notification of booking confirmation. Classes can be booked up to 7 days in advance. Members will be able to cancel their class booking up to 4 hours before the class is due to begin.

If you are unable to make a booked class, we ask that you cancel at least four hours in advance of the class start time. If you do not cancel your place then you will receive a £3 charge onto you account.


Members must be 16 or over to attend the gym. A child under the age of 16 may attend the facilities on a 'parent and child membership'. The adult and child monthly membership is designed to allow a child to use the facilities alongside the paying member. The child should be between 11 and 16 years old, They must have an induction before being allowed to use the facility and they must always be accompanied and supervised by the monthly paying member. The child should also have a complete registration form with all of their details, alongside a completed health questionnaire. All usual terms and conditions apply to this contract and must be signed on the members accounts.

If attending a parent and baby class, babies are classed as pre-walkers only. There is no facility to store prams within the gym, babies must either be in a car seat or carrier. There are no baby change facilities within the gym space. Babies must remain within the studio and for health and safety reasons are not allowed to go anywhere else in the building, this includes the changing room facilities. Parents should come to the parent and baby class already dressed for said class. If attending a class, babies are only allowed in the building during the allotted class time.


Attending FLY is at your own risk. FLY Fitness Ltd accepts no liability whatsoever for physical injury relating to attending the gym or classes within the gym. FLY Fitness Ltd accepts no liability or responsibility for loss or damage related to leaving belongings in the changing rooms or elsewhere at the gym. By becoming a member of FLY you accept these risks. Members will be given the opportunity to receive a gym induction before using the facilities when they collect their membership card. This induction is voluntary. If the option of gym induction is not utilised by the member, the members use of the gym and its full facilities is at their own risk. If induction is utilised by the member, the members use of the gym and its full facilities is at their own risk.


Your privacy is important to FLY Fitness Ltd, the FLY Fitness Ltd Privacy Policy is hereby incorporated into these Membership Terms and Conditions by reference. Please read the privacy policy carefully for information relating to FLY’s collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information.
